Tour Detail:

Day 1: Hanoi – Nghia Lo –  Mu Cang Chai (L, D)

Our guide will pick you up at hotel, then driving to west of Hanoi following the national way – No.32 to Nghia Lo district of Yen Bai province.

Have a lunch in local restaurant in Nghia Lo, then keep on driving up to Mu Cang Chai. We stop-over in Tu Le for visiting and admire of the imposing landscape of mountains and valleys and the beautiful rice terrace filed of this area – Tu Le, Van Chan district of Yen Bai province. Dinner and overnight at the homestay/ hotel in Mu Cang Chai.

Day 2: Mu Cang Chai Trekking (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will get a transfer to a trekking point for the whole day trek to enjoy Vietnam’s national rice terrace heritage. Our trek will start from Che Cu Nha commune to La Pan Tan Commune. It is around 13 km and takes most of our day. This trek will definitely offer us a good opportunity to see the main spots and admire the beauty of amazing rice terraces that Mu Cang Chai has to offer. We will also be able to visit a few villages of the H’mong hill tribe scattered in the area.

Get picked up by our private vehicle around 4:30 PM.

Dinner and stay for the night at your homestay/ hotel.

Day 3: Mu Cang Chai – Sapa – Ta Van Village ( B, L, D)

After breakfast, we depart to Sapa. Arrive in Sapa and visit colorful ethnic markets and Sapa old town with its remnants of the French colonial era. Have a lunch in local restaurant.

After lunch, you start trekking down to Lao Chai village of Black H’mong ethnic people. Here you will discover their daily life. Visit the biggest valley which provides the best view for golden rice terrace fields in Vietnam. After Lao Chai you walk to Ta Van village of Dzay people. It is a small group of ethnic people in Vietnam with a rich culture and beautiful houses located on rice paddy fields. Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages, about 8 km from Sapa town, where black H’mong and Dzay people are living. Here you will enjoy the fresh air, see terraced fields, stream, discover and visit some Black H’mong families. In the evening, enjoy dinner with music and join in the party with some wine or soft drinks. Stay one night with a local family in the village.

Day 4: Fansipan Cable Car – Ham Rong Mountain – Sapa (B, L)

After breakfast, you leave Ta Van to Fansipan Cable Station for an amazing trip to reach the Indochina Roof, 3143m above the sea level: Starting by cable car and step up to the Peak, enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful landscapes from the high.

11:30 – 12:00 Have a lunch at the local restaurant.

In the afternoon: , you will explore the Ham Rong Mountain with unspoiled scenery and spectacular. At here, you can visit many kinds of colorful orchid garden from Indochina area. Passing two Heaven Gate, visitors will be arriving in the top of Ham Rong is called Pitch Cloud, and have panoramic view of Sapa, then going back to your hotel. You will have leisure time. Dinner is service at the restaurant. Free time to visit Sapa town in the evening. ( If you are lucky, you will meet love market is one of unique market of local people , it is only open on Saturday and Sunday night).

Day 5: Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Ha Giang (B, L, D)

07:30 – 08:00: Breakfast is service at hotel, check out the hotel, then transfering to Cat Cat village. Upon arrival explore Cat Cat villages, inhabited by the H’mong people, a French colonial area and a renowned resort for officials from the early 20th century. Visit the hydro-power station and the waterfall of Cat Cat village. Learn about the culture and customs of H’mong people including traditional crafts such as weaving, carved silver and hand-forged agricultural tools.

After that, you will leave Cat Cat village to Ha Giang. You will enjoy and admire mountain view road. You will have a lunch at the restaurant on the way.

17:30 – 18:00 You will arrive Ha Giang, check in your hotel/ homestay in Ha Giang, free time to relax. Enjoy dinner and Sleep at the hotel/ homestay in Ha Giang.

Day 6: Ha Giang – Dong Van (B,L,D)

As Ha Giang still requires a permit, your guide will assist you in purchasing one from the small office in the town. You will then take a succession of stunning passes, over the rolling mountains and valleys. You will stop for lunch in the small mountain town of Tam Son. After, you will travel through the imposing pine forest to visit a Hmong palace which once belonged to the powerful Vuong family. The palace is infamous for its use as a store for opium and weapons and offers a glimpse into the life of Hmong royalty in a different era. After independence, the palace was evacuated in 1950, and the descendants of this influential family now live in France and Canada. You will continue down the sweeping roads where many black H’mong villages hide behind the stone walls until you arrive in Dong Van at around 18:00. You will have dinner at local restaurant and spend the night in a hotel/ homestay.

Day 7: Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Ha Giang (B,L,D)

Today is Sunday. After breakfast, you can visit the weekly Dong Van Market to meet the local people and peruse the fascinating ion of handmade goods and speciality produce. You will then climb up above the town to Pu Lo, a French fortress built in 1890 and kept in great condition. After exploring the fortress and the incredible views it offers, you will hit the road to experience one of the most spectacular roads in the whole of Vietnam. At an elevation of 2000 meters, the Ma Pi Leng Pass clings to the side of the undulating mountains, giving unrivalled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields, which decorate the mountainsides. You will zigzag down into Meo Vac Valley for lunch, before returning to Ha Giang where you will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 8: Ha Giang – Hanoi (B,L)

7:00 Breakfast is service at the hotel, check out your hotel.

8:00 Go to visit Cam mountain to get panorama view to admire Ha Giang city, then driving back to Hanoi, returning by the same route. On the way, you can stop to take photos of the magnificent mountains and make the most of your last bit of time in this magnificent region. You will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi.

18:00: Drop you off at your hotel.
